Fun In The Sun: Sewing Instructions and Full Size Patterns for Popular 18″ Dolls

“Fun in the Sun” is a versatile sewing pattern with step-by-step instructions and full size pattern pieces for your 18” doll. It can transform from a dress into a jumper for Fall, depending on how it is worn. The clever design can be worn buttoned down the front, or can close in the back to create two different looks. It can also be made completely reversible for two looks in one. It has a shaped yoke for the bodice, and fastens across the shoulders with straps. The yoke is fully lined and can be made from matching or contrasting fabric. There are three variations for the full skirt. View A has a frilly ruffle and View B has a patch pocket as well as a more tailored band that can be embellished with rick rack. View C is a completely reversible construction and can be made in two contrasting fabrics. Instructions and a template are given for an easy technique for creating a closure with buttonholes or hook-and-loop tape. The hat is completely reversible, and directions are included for creating the removable flower embellishment as well as trimming the hat with rick rack. Mix-it, match it, switch it around – no matter how your doll wears it she is sure to have “Fun in the Sun.” Tee shirt pattern not included.
